How to check your bottles fit

Width. A standard Bordeaux bottle is about 3 in wide. Burgundy and Pinot Noir are about 3.3 in, Champagne about 3.5 in and a 1.5 L magnum about 4 in.

Slot. A bottle fits when it is a little narrower than the slot. Measure your widest bottle at its widest point.

Wall racks. A full 750 ml bottle weighs about 2.65 lb. Screw the rack into the studs (usually 16 in apart) or into masonry, never into drywall alone.

Wine rack, serving table and glass rack in one

This 21-bottle floor wine rack is built like a small console. On the left, a column of interlocking rings holds the bottles. On the right, the space stays open between the top and the bottom shelf.

The black faux marble top gives you a surface to pour, set a decanter or put out snacks.

Two rails under the top hold six stemmed glasses upside down. They stay clean and sit right above the bottles.
